Chrome extension

Gaveta

I used to open dozens of YouTube tabs just to save videos for later. When that started weighing down my browser, I made Gaveta: a small extension that keeps a watch-later queue right on YouTube.

A familiar kind of clutter

I would open a new tab every time I found something I wanted to watch later. The tabs piled up, the browser got heavier, and the videos were still waiting for me.

A queue where I need it

Gaveta adds a button to YouTube thumbnails so I can save a video without opening it. The queue lives inside YouTube, where I can reorder videos, remove them, open them and export a copy as CSV.

Local by design

The queue stays in local storage in the Chrome profile where the extension is installed. Gaveta does not require an account, send the list to an Evakdo server or include usage analytics. It is a small tool, made to solve a small friction in my own routine.

An early release

Gaveta is free and currently in beta. It is not yet in the Chrome Web Store; the public GitHub repository includes the source and instructions to load it in Chrome.
